AUG 28, 1977 – MAY 16, 2022

It is with a happiness in my heart that Jodi was able to see this message before she left us for a better place. She knew my thoughts, my love, my sorrow, my longing to see her again and be with her in the future. I cannot express enough the love I possess for her. I never knew I would be lucky enough to meet a woman whose heart and soul were so immense and pure.

I was able to feel and see the impact she had on everyone around her, and I am eternally thankful to all of those who have been there for us through this battle. She is no longer hampered by the pain that her body has made her endure, and she is finally at peace. She left us, surrounded by her family and friends who love her so dearly.

Her own sadness was chiefly brought on by seeing the tears of others who saw her pain. If she hated anything, it was to witness the heartbreak felt by the ones who loved her so dearly. Jodi was the strongest person I have ever met, and I am thankful for everyday that I got to spend with her on this earth. She has taught me so much in such a short time, and I could never have been more blessed to have had a better wife or friend.

I am so grateful for the role model Jodi has been to Tessa, and for the lessons she has instilled in our young daughter. My only wish is for Jodi to look over Tessa as she grows into the amazing woman that we knew she will become. Jodi’s family and friends welcomed Tessa and I into their lives with open arms, and I will forever cherish the bond that I have formed with them. I am blessed to call Patricia, Mike, April, Charlie, Cailyn and the rest of the Missak clan family.

It is with Jodi’s blessing that we will be hosting a celebration of life to honor her at Avalon Stables in the coming weeks. Avalon truly held a place in Jodi’s heart and Pam has so graciously helped us to arrange this day of celebration for her. More details will be forthcoming soon.

Love,
Brian & Tessa
